At present, Hope Alive takes pride in overseeing this impactful program across 12 schools in Robeson County.
Our mission is simple yet profound—to ensure that no child goes hungry. Through Bak Pak Pals, we provide non-perishable meals to elementary school students facing food insecurity. This thoughtful program aims to create a positive impact on the lives of young learners, fostering an environment where hunger doesn't hinder their education or well-being.

Equine Therapy Program
The equine-assisted psychotherapy program known as Horses Supporting Empathy, Life, & Community (HSELC) exists to help children, adolescents, and veterans overcome obstacles resulting from trauma, PTSD, and behavioral health issues.
Equine-assisted psychotherapy (EAP) is a treatment that includes equine activities or an equine environment to promote physical, occupational, and emotional growth in participants with a variety of afflictions from anxiety and depression to dementia, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Ron Barnes Center for Recovery
The Ron Barnes Center for Recovery, an essential part of Hope Alive's commitment to supporting individuals on their journey to overcoming substance abuse. Our Medically Assisted Social Setting Detox Program is specifically designed to cater to the unique needs of 78 residents, guiding them through the challenging detoxification process that often poses a significant barrier to seeking treatment.
Our center recognizes the critical importance of addressing both the physical and emotional aspects of recovery. The Medically Assisted Social Setting Detox Program ensures a supportive environment, fostering a safe and comfortable space for individuals to navigate detox with professional assistance.
